Professor Juan Agüera Vega

Professor of Agroforestry Engineering at the School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering of the University of Cordoba. University Lecturer and Researcher since 1982.

He has participated in 18 research projects on optimisation of the use of agricultural machinery aimed at energy saving, minimisation of greenhouse gas emissions, and analysis of soil compaction due to machinery.

He has developed and patented instruments that have been a reference in different projects of other institutions such as IAAS (CSIC), University of Seville, University of Valencia or the company Michelin-Spain.

Research lines

These are some of the main lines of research in which Professor Juan Agüera has been working in recent years.

He develops his work mainly in the field of Olive orchard mechanization, conservation and Precision Agriculture, variable rate application equipment and techniques, sensors and instrumentation for agricultural production systems.
