Professor of the ETSIA of the University of Seville, within the area of Agroforestry Engineering.
Professor Gregorio Egea
Doctor in Agricultural Engineering and Master’s Degree in Planning and Management of Water Resources from the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.
He completed a two-year postdoctoral stay (2009-2011) at the University of Reading (UK) under the supervision of Dr Anne Verhoef. In 2012 he became part of the teaching staff of the Agroforestry Engineering Area of the University of Seville, a position he currently occupies. His lines of research have focused mainly on the use of new technologies for irrigation management, deficit irrigation and modeling of the response of crops to water deficit.
In 2021 he was recognized with the VIII Losada Villasante award in the Agrifood Research category for his project “Digital phenotyping, the revolution in plant improvement based on data analysis and machine learning”.

In the last 5 years Gregorio Egea has achieved XXX publications indexed in JCR, Science Edition, of ISI. One of them has received the international award “……………..Adwards 2014”.
